Ashley Ward
I have a particular desire to work with clients who have experienced birth trauma, are experiencing postpartum mental health struggles, and who experience anxiety and/or grief and loss. I also have experience working with the particular struggle of naming and recovering from religious trauma. My approach is body-centered, and I believe that our bodies speak to our experiences. A somatic approach, letting the body light up our parts, will allow us to work together to honor your story. I believe that everyone’s story matters, and that my primary role is to provide a with-ness and a witness to your story.I want to provide you with tools and resources, & a space to be safe and seen. I have studied significantly, and continue to study, how to provide my clients with trauma-informed care. While the reasons I have chosen this field are many, ultimately my own experience has made me a relentless and hope-filled believer in the magic, art, and science of therapy.
